I have worked at the MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, OH since 3/2000. My current position is Systems Engineer. In other words, I take care of applications and the servers they are hosted on, support the email and Blackberry systems, and automate as much as possible via scripting. I began as a Systems Specialist, which translates to setting up new computers for people. I have had about five different titles in my career growth at MetroHealth. What this all means is that I have been involved with about everything that has to do with a computer from the setup to getting it networked while supporting it the whole way. I have an Associates Degree from the Univeristy of Akron in Computer Service with Network Technology and a Bachelors Degree from Jones International University in Information Technology. I have worked for CompUSA doing warranty repairs and upgrades. I have the A+ hardware certification, an MCP, Microsoft Certified Professional and CNE, Certifed Novell Engineer, certifications. I am also certtifed by Hewlett-Packard, Toshiba and Compaq for their systems. I have worked on about every known system out there and have built over 500 customized systems for Computers for Less in Apple Creek, OH.
If I get too busy to provide services in a timely fashion I bring in help. Jim Cunningham is a certified professional with over 10 years of hands on experience in the Information Technology field. His career began with CompUSA installing and repairing PC's, Laptops and Printers, his customer service skills were immediately put to work. After a few successful years of retail work, his journey took him to a major banking system in Cleveland. His customer service skills were again put to the test by serving as a mainframe operator and after hours help desk. After a short stay in the banking field, due to operational changes, he took a position at a local hospital. At first he was a computer operator, monitoring day end processing and report generation. Once the opportunity presented itself, Jim was able to move to the desktop team, where he gained a vast knowledge of PC's, Printers, PDA's and scanning devices. He has worked his way through the desktop group, and is now a member of the Citrix Engineering group. He helps design, support and maintain a medium sized high-availability Citrix farm. Having studied computer science at The Ohio State University and attended many technical classes, he has earned several industry standard certifications, including A+ as well as several vendor specific hardware and software credentials. His wide range of experience and superior customer service has allowed him to become a well rounded service provider. Jim is a lifelong Cleveland resident, where he shares a home with his wife and two children.
What this all boils down to is that we can fix your computer regardless of what is wrong with it. I am a strong believer in speaking English and not Geek Speak. If I'm working on your system I want you to know exactly what I am doing and why. My goal is to fix your problems and make you a satisfied customer.
I do not charge to talk. If you have a problem and aren't sure where to go please feel free to contact me and we will talk about it. If you have a system that is not worth upgrading and want to get a new computer I can give you my opinion on what I would buy, and where you can get it for the least amount of money.
